This was the first time somebody asked me to make a cake with the theme of the New Hijra Year.
What occurred at that time was to make 3-dimensional mosque cake. But on the advice of some fellow cake makers, finally I made the cake with the theme of desert which was also chosen by the customer.
The hardest was to make this cake did not look monotonous. Base cake was Steamed brownie with diameter 30 cm which was shaped like the hills and covered with ganache (chocolate cream). All decorations made of fondant and some crushed chocolate wafers to give the effect of sand.
